We recently had Teacher’s Day here in South Korea and that was the inspiration for this Book Report on Esme Raji Codell’s illuminating memoir Educating Esme: Diary of a Teacher’s First Year.
I’ve had a lot of ups and downs in my relationship with the profession–and will continue to do so–but this book helped me navigate a tough period of uncertainty. And for that, I am grateful.
